Eric’s Promise Update: 🙂
A HUGE part of this promise is to honor the patronage of Our Lady of Lourdes, stemming from Marian High School. In that the Rosary is a building block of everyday life.
When I was away in Colorado the Holy Spirit kept saying, “Grotto of Notre Dame, St. Joseph and Mishawaka.” Truthbumps.
I had never been one to say the rosary and really never went to the Grotto but I knew that people went there to light candles. When I finally had the courage to fly back home to help Eric’s Promise and my family, after months of sifting through what that looked like and felt like, I went to the Grotto.
I lit a candle and my head was moved to the sign there that said, Daily Rosary 6:45 P.M. My soul sunk as I knew God was calling me there to start saying it. I had never said it before and I never owned one. I looked at the time and it said 6:42 P.M. Truthbumps.
The rosary group started to enter the area and with the greatest fear I stayed and did my best to join them. That was 5.5 years ago.
Now, I say all of the mysteries all day and night. It is my walk. Truthbumps. We are called to share this weapon of Christ. We are called to speak this weapon of Truth. We are called to believe in the power of this weapon of Heaven given to St. Dominic.
Today, at the Hope Ministries, in the middle of praying the Divine Mercy chaplet, a women commented on how pretty the rosary I had was. I gave it to her straight away. She is going to hang it in her car. 🙂
God is moving. Are you moving with Him or against Him?
It is your choice.
God Bless, Melissa (Eric’s sis, aka Miss)
