The Truth.

“James 2

New International Version

Favoritism Forbidden

My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,”have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong?

If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a]you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,”[b] also said, “You shall not murder.”[c] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.””

On December 17, 2017 I flew home from Colorado to Indiana to teach a class called Intuitive Painting. I knew I needed to be in Colorado but my soul knew I had ties to sever in Indiana. The only way to do that was to teach the people the Power of Christ in color, sound, writing and intention.
I have a theme in my classes. This time it was Fly High. I wrote many many I AM statements as everyone was painting to the drum. I used the color yellow to establish it all. Come to find out this is the color that represents The Catholic Worker. This is fully rooted in St. Valentine to me, my brother Eric and standing up for what is right. Specifically getting funds to the people who need it most.
I went to my first public City Council meeting on Valentines Day 2022 in South Bend, Indiana. You know what I saw? Let me tell you. The council denied a small town funds to fix their fire truck. The City of South Bend, Indiana also denied the homeless renewed funds to keep their divine momentum going. Brings me to tears writing about it. Such injustice! You know what they voted yes on?! They voted yes to use their money to update the City Building’s entryway. Puke. Sick. It’s time for the Divine Turnaround. It’s already happening but let’s level it up shall we? Yes. Amen. Not by might. Not by power. Simple writing.
When I got in the elevator that day to be part of that meeting, wearing my bright yellow shirt, a man named Eric walked into it with me. He worked with St. Vincent de Paul. How is that for a God Wink? Eric’s Promise, brother sister duo, here we are. Making noise but in the background. Shifting all atmospheres with faith. Same day delivery, God says. We are flying High with the Great I AM. Nothing is impossible with God! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
