The Turn. It’s a place where sorrow turns into Divine Understanding. A place where your heart receives peace after a lifetime of abuse. A place where the smallest things in life mean the most.
The Turn.
When I first arrived at the apartment that The Lord guided me to I gave a bag of Cheetos to a neighbor. I, like my brother Eric, always look for the ones needing the most help and give what am led to give. You would think that this is a trivial moment and of no meaning and if you do, you’d be wrong. I won’t explain why but I will tell you this:
That moment created trust. After that when seeing eachother a cheerful good morning would be offered. After that I borrowed a cup. Until one day, being today, God put us in the closest proximity ever and the following took place:
I asked if she had ever been to a certain county and her response was that she was actually from there. Then came the trigger. She exposed her family to me and the abuse of child perversion. She continued to tell me so many horrible things about perversion in her family and how many sex offenders were registered in the town etc. It was appalling, earth shattering and disgusting to hear. It opened my eyes to the whole world in another light. A dark one but a truthful one.
Here comes the Turn. There were moments where I was getting my trusty Truthbumps so spoke in Faith accordingly during the conversation. Then a moment came when I spoke of her strength and how she is one of God’s warriors. She said, if that’s the case then me and God need to have a talk because I can’t handle what He has given me. I said, with authority, you have been chosen by God for this very purpose. I saw her Spirit change and I felt The Lift. God convicted her in that moment of her purpose. She knew. She felt it in her Spirit. She came to me in pain and walked away in purpose.
That’s God.
in Jesus’ name always. Amen.
