As I sit here waiting, praying and trusting there is a scene right in front of me that mirrors Eric.
In the parking lot of a church I look straight ahead. What is in front of me is astounding. As I pray the rosary and prepare myself to volunteer with a church to help a shelter in Kentucky I see this:
- A ladybug flag (Our Family’s symbol for Eric is the ladybug)
- At this same house a tree stump but know this. These people took the time to build an imaginary home on top of the stump. It’s creative, unique, hand-carved and full of playfulness.
- 17 years after Eric died the walnut tree that killed him was cut down to a stump. I went to see it for myself. That night of the visit the woman who found Eric dead heard me wailing at the sight of the tree with no branches. This was the first time that I had ever seen or spoke to the woman who found Eric dead. This same night that I went to visit the stump and the same night that I met the woman who found Eric dead my Mom, Mary Molnar, was getting pizza. They called out her name when the pizza was ready for pickup and the police officer that knocked on our door to tell us that Eric died approached her.
In 1 night I met the woman who found Eric dead and the police officer that told us of his death gave my Mom a warm greeting of remembrance.
This time period was also when the thrift store for St. Vincent de Paul of St. Joseph County, Indiana was merging with Goodwill. - The theme today is Unity.
- The power of love propels us forward.
I went to an upper room event for an Artist one night a handful of years after seeing Eric’s tree cut down. There was a piece of art that was a stump with an Angel at it. Everything in the room that night spoke of my journey as it is right now in this moment.
The fight against the Heavens and Death here on Earth. Those that have eyes can see. Those that have ears can hear.
We lead in the strength of God. We walk in the Light of God. We Trust the Vision God gives us. His timing is perfect. God’s Glory is sure. - I have two tattoos on my ankles. The left is a Red Cross with Eric’s initials. The right is the word Unity. Today my walk for Christ within the love for my brother comes full circle.
- The church I am serving with is helping to clean a 29 unit shelter in Kentucky. Yahweh tells me that 29 is His Encore. Here it is. The Encore is Unity.
Nothing is impossible with God.
Much Love, Melissa, Eric’s sister
