My Love.

Lux Fiat. Let there be light.

Endless possibilities.

We are to love our lives so that we too are equipped to love others. As my cousin Glory reminded me years ago, a Tree is known by its fruit, as the scripture says.

We are all trees of fruit for God. Some of us have been cut off and some of us are overflowing with beautiful things for people to eat.

My favorite scriptures speak of being fruitful for God and helping heal the Nations. What God is able to do with one faithful person is not up for debate. What God is able to do with one faithful person is not subject to human approval. You did not write this story. God did.

As my Mom would always say, Look what Eric’s four bags turned into. The community and our family helped raise over 400 tons of gently used material goods for St. Vincent de Paul through its life of being a thrift store in South Bend, Indiana.

4 bags turned into over 400 tons.

Don’t limit Eric’s Promise and don’t limit me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Eric loved the Golden Rule. I don’t limit you. In fact, for decades I glazed over your lack and filled it with opportunity, believing in the best, that is until my life was almost lost due to me forgiving people who refused to be kind.

Be Brave.

Be Bold.

Be Kind.

But fight the good fight, as the scriptures say. Don’t be ignorant in your love as Paul says.

Don’t limit my love and I won’t limit yours.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.
