The Lord Jesus loves to take something complicated and make it fun. 🙂

My Jesus friend is soiled from head to toe.

Challenges:

1. Keeping the rules of safety first while still helping him
2. Don’t engage with personal matters but still find a way to love him
3. Feed him what is nourishing for his body not what is easy
4. Honor his No and his Yes when it comes to offering all material things
5. Make Room for God.

Tonight I walked to a Thursday Community meal where I know they give out clothes.

1. I found a pair of shoes that fit this man – Mission completed.
2. I found a new pair of underwear that hopefully fit this man. – Extra
3. I found two pairs of socks that will fit this man – Mission completed.
4. I found a sweatshirt that will hopefully fit this man. – Extra
5. I found 2 dress shirts that will hopefully fit this man. – Extras
6. I found 2 t-shirts, 1 saying – “Hope Will Not Be Cancelled.” – Extras

I dropped a bag of free clothes from Saint Mark’s closet on 7th street where I know someone will gladly receive them earlier today. As I walk back to my homebase to do what Jesus tells me, the man who ended up receiving this walks right passed me! Astounding. God’s timing is amazing. I had an extra chili from the church dinner and was able to give him that as well. To top it off – I was able to tell him how amazing God is to time us meeting.
