Beauty and the Beast.
The whole trail of tears is The Beast.
The whole trail of answered prayers is Beauty.
There was a painting I did which required a gathering of walking in faith and literally walking to piece together what it was all about. I wouldn’t have found all of the pieces by driving a car. This had to be completed with walking. I can’t stress that enough.
Slow, God says. His answers are found in going slow and with His Flow.
The first place that I realized what the actual puzzle piece was showed up at a community meal called Unlimited Love. This is held every Saturday and they are quite the volunteer bunch. Rude as rude can be. Interestingly enough though – they were the first and the last puzzle piece needed to see the power of simply Showing Up.
When we show up to a place that God guides then He provides.
It is that simple.
I didn’t want to go there but what happened on the way there brought me to tears in the most beautiful way. Closed out a circle of a homeless friend as well.
The men’s clothing items were gifted to him. God’s Perfect Timing. I waited almost 6 months to give him something. He is the most sensitive out of the bunch so I had to wait until it was perfect. My Jesus friend reminded me of Quality so I gave this man the brand new sweatshirt, brand new underwear and brand new socks. Again, all of these came from a church group at St. Luke’s. Free to me and free to this man.
I imagine that this was the last piece to my puzzle. The fact that it took almost 6 months to figure out how to interact with him is the puzzle and now it has been solved.
His only response was, “You are alright.”
As I type this, yes, amen.
The first night I met my Jesus friend he said that he kept wanting to say the word “Alright.” I told him that God would show us. That night as I was listening to Christian music I heard the words ALL RIGHT and immediately looked to see what was playing. The song is called The Process by Judah and the Lion. As I type this words from Jesus, “Trust Me” appear. Trust The Process. The Process is the slow unfolding of the Revelation of Jesus Christ within us, our families, our friends, our communities, our work places, everywhere.
So, bottom line is Jesus and Trusting Him.
When I was working on receiving rose petals for a grief walk last year, while walking into a florist shop to ask for donations, Trust Me, were the only words that caught my eye. These petals were thrown into the river to honor those that had died. This was the main part of the Grief Walk held by Elkhart County Parks and Rec at OxBow Park. I held an art activity there for those grieving and it was all about The Catholic Worker in me and the Book of Romans, specifically my ministry of the Olive Tree. There though, another symbol showed up. A bat as in Batman. Lo and Behold a man here in the community is nicknamed Batman. His name is James. He is the one that gives me the most love. 🙂 We sat in the leaves while waiting for a meal 2 days ago and played in them. 🙂
You see, those that are deeply in-tune with the most sacred of things, will “randomly” say things like “Alright” aka “All Right.” Watch it show up for you if you are reading this. That is the Power of God and something that I have been teaching since 2014. The power of God found in unconventional and seemingly insignificant ways. Most people dismiss these occurrances and even get annoyed at children for speaking “random” things. These are not random. Watch.
The first time this blew me out of the water was when a little boy kept saying “X-Marks the Spot.” His Mother was so annoyed at him while I on the other hand knew it was of great importance. Not too much time later, I arrived in Mishawaka, Indiana, at St. Monica’s Church, during the epidemic. Lo and Behold, X’s were outside the church leading into it. Every other pew inside also had the number 5 on them. 555 to me means “Jesus, I Trust in You.” I have mentioned this story before in long, in a previous post. This is rooted in all things St. Dominic.
St. Monica’s, this very church, is where I ended up doing all of the Divine Mercy work in First Saturdays for my Mom – Mary (Henry) Molnar and my Dad, Tom Henry.
Trust Jesus. Trust the Process. The Process is Jesus.
Glory be to God and all of Heaven, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
